My name is Mark Cossey and I’m a User Interafce and Visual Designer. I began studying Graphic Design in 1992 after leaving school in Oxford. I started my career in design for print in 1997 and moved to digital in 2001. I’ve worked in-house for sectors including education and travel and have also been a freelance designer working for various companies in areas such as hospitality and restaurants to fitness and leisure as well as developing individual and start-up businesses. I’m now Senior UX Designer at Caplin Systems in London.

I live in Brighton with my wife and two daughters which keeps me incredibly busy outside of work. We enjoy walks in the park and on the beach and travelling when we can. My wife and I are also keen photographers and you can see some of our handy work here on Flickr
I love design, logos, branding and websites which is why I decided to extend this website from a simple portfolio to include a blog. I write as often as I can on subjects which interest me and I hope others find interesting too.
I’m very pleased to have had my design work recognised in the following places:
KRC Images website won this monthly design contest receiving a silver award.
A selection of my logos and business card designs have been picked to feature on this design inspiration site.
DB Primary was short listed for this award in 2008. I worked as senior graphic designer on this project.
I’ve contributed to one of the best web design and development blogs on the net.
